SPATIAL VARIABILITY OF THE STABILITY OF COHESIVE SOIL AGGREGATES UNDER CONSERVATION PRACTICES

The knowledge and characterization of aggregate stability are relevant to select adequate management avoid its degradation. Thus, this study aimed characterize the spatial variability in cohesive soils under crop conservation systems. experiment was performed two different areas soybean production: no-tillage System (NTS) livestock farming integration system (LFI), In each production area, a sampling mesh composed 50 collection points, with regular spacing 40 m, at 0.00-0.20 m depth, carried out. results were expressed as percentage aggregates retained sieves 2; 1; 0.5 0.25 mm, values obtained used calculate Mean Geometric Diameter (MGD) Weight (MWD). LFI system, which had strong degree dependence (DSD), attributes showed moderate DSD, except for MWD. Generally, reached lower than those found NTS showing less no-tillage. Spatial distribution kriging maps demonstrated leading formation larger soil when compared ones same NTS. All dependence. managed revealed greater NTS, turn presented shows more homogeneous soil.
